Did you know?

A "Pandula" is a flower which blooms only in one's imagination.

July 16, 2015

Scumbling, tiny circles, with blue and green ball point pen.

I love how vibrant colors are they just pop off the paper.

Best yet with ink.  I like how well the shading went with this one.  I see form as in not just a flat circle on a piece of paper it really looks like a ball to me

Color pencil..I still suck!!!  The ball is it too too bad but the table is sitting on and the shadow arc god-awful!!!

This one is done with crosshatching and it's still not what I'm aiming for.  Did this one yesterday and just could not be happy with it, that's why I decided to try stumbling this morning.

Trying to settle on a medium that I'm happy with, one that doesn't smudge as easy as graphite and charcoal.

This one sucks too!

Also here's a little shot of the basket I'm working on it's purple and red.

Okay now I'm going to get back to one or the other talk to you later.

A little blue custom order.

Last Wednesday at the farmers market I got a tiny little custom job.

The gentleman wanted a business card holder for a friend who happens to love the color blue.  He wanted a Cedar Center and he really liked the diamond stitch, so this is what happened.

I got the size perfect.

And I love the diamond Stitch just as much as he does.

On the bottom I used a spiral straight stitch in a different color of blue.

And of course a piece of Juniper/Cedar right from the local woods around my house.

And I always find my work.

I hope he and the gift recipient are as happy with this basket as I am, I get to deliver it to them today.

I was thinking of the Summer heat...

05/20/14

That is headed our way.  This is what happened.  Red and yellow for the Sun.

Tiny little red beads to catch the light.

With a Live Oak center.

And then I skipped right back into the Earth tones.

Oak center.  Glowing beads and brown tones galore!!!

I guess I am enamored with the diamond stitch!

All done with this one.

05/03/14

For some reason this one really speaks to me.

I think it is how it goes from a square start to a round finish.  I really liked the last one I did with a square Hickory slice!

On to the next one.

I finished the 'lil blue basket!

04/29/14

And I am very happy with it!

And then started another...this one has Hickory for the center (the other one has a Live Oak center) and I am using silver and dark brown threads!

Personally I don't love the silver thread, not enough contrast to see my pretty and neat stitches! I worked hard to learn them.  (I couldn't hem a pair of pants if I had to.  Lol )

But often I am not in love with a piece until it is completed.  We'll see.

Tore up too bracelets I started too.  Just couldn't get it to look right. ;-(.

But I refuse to give up on it!  So stay tuned.

How about a pine needle bracelet!!!

04/22/14

Tried several times before and failed miserably.  This time I had been mulling over the idea again and had an epiphany kind of thought.

I actually went to my dresser to measure a bangle, then upon finding some cheap, thin, metal bangles I wondered if I could use it for a starting point and support...

Here is what happened.

Kind of an infinity look about it.

I learned alot and have already started another.

Stay tuned.

This one had a slight southwest feel.

Camera phone pictures.

03/26/14

I know this pic looks blue and pink, but it is really done in two different purples.  One has alot of pink tones, it is called 'Berry', the other is a bluer purple called 'grape'.  The beads are also grape color.

They are lovely with the purple tones in the Cedar wood.

Wish the phone camera gave truer color...most of the time it does.

Cute, cute, cute.

Building my inventory.

I absolutely adore the earth tones of this one!

03/13/14

Gotta love when a plan comes together!

Live Oak center, a blend of pine needles and grasses for the "coils", with an espresso color thread, along with an amaretto color thread.  Mother nature's colors are so awesome.

The ones with bright color thread are great, folks love them!  But for me, this aesthetic is my favorite.  Just let nature shine to it's beautiful 'best advantage'.  No bright colors competing.

I love the richness and tones of the browns and greens.

Some day I might even have to keep one!

Now for a few rows on my " box " purse/messenger bag.  It has been sadly neglected.  I have been busy with custom work and gathering supplies.

I also worked on sanding 21 pieces of wood for centers.  My compromise was the wood lol.  Even though I should/could have been stitching I really wanted to be outside for the beautiful weather we have had this week.  It is cold again today, so I am happy to stay in and stitch.

Guess. I had better get to it.
