I've been playing around with some ball point pens doing some free hand doodles. Check it out.

Here's the first one. No pencils no erasers just me and an ink pen. Can you say art therapy?

This is number two and I really love this piece it has kind of a bluish greenish teal-ish colors and a purply blue.

Then this one came along.  Just a little bookmark. I watercolored the paper before I drew the design and I even burned the edges.

Number four is done on a stretched canvas. Not sure how I feel about this when yet. But I did discover glitter ink pens what fun.

I don't think it's done yet.

This one I really like!  It is done on white paper and I used a red pen, a purple pen with glitter in it and a mauve pen. 

Everyone says it looks like Hair.

For me I just like how it flows, however I am thinking of doing one it's all sharp points so stay tuned.

Then I did a Pineneedle bracelet. I still really like the infinity design.

So in the last week or so I have done multiple zentangle inspired drawings,  three baskets and started a fourth,  and a Pineneedle bracelet as well.

Art is a great stress reliever.

And then I did a little purple and blue one. That's purple and blue threads of course.

 OK I think that's everything now now!

Moved my rv for the second time in two months :-( sooooo, not many posts to blog!

So here we go.  Since my last post I have been kind of all over the map with my art.  Everything from beadwork to drawing.  

Here i just picked up an ink pen with no plan and let my mind and hand just wander.  Look what happened. 

 I call this  ZIA doodle "Flo". Probably because nothing about moving just flo's, it is always jagged and difficult for me.

Then I painted over my only canvas.  This is for a background to draw on.  

Kind of like how I did this one with watercolor...My friend kraftymax asked me for a "bright" sugar skull.  She loved him!

Then I did this in my sketch book.

I love green and blue together.  

I did this while also painting the canvas background and another background in watercolor.  In the process I accidently transferred pink paint from my hand onto the paper...thus the pink ribbon.

Then a little bookmark and I even burned the edges.  First time I ever did that.  

I clearly have a thing going for this "flowy" design.

Then I tried ballpoint pen on top of the acrylic paint on canvas.  Who knew there were glitter ink pens lol?

I am not really sure how I feel about this one.  He is kind of on hold while I think of what it needs next.

Then I started a pineneedle basket with whatever supplies I could gather.  My usual supplies were not with me and it was my absolute worst basket ever...

Done with cross stitch linen and the tiniest, most brittle pine needles ever.  I didn't even put my mark on it.  

But my friends daughter wanted it so I gave it to her , other wise I would have cut it up and re-used the wood center.

Now I have my basket supplies and am working on a little 5 in. Oval basket.   Ahhhh a comfort zone.  Much better.  

 So for now that is it.

No farmers market right now, but I do have my application in for the Jacksonville Fl Riverside Arts Market!

New art!  LOOK BASKETS!  working on my ergonomics so stitching doesn't hurt my hand again.

Lately, I have been searching for an artform to supplement my basket work. 

You see after enough years I was beginning to be a little bored with doing just baskets. Sooooo I've been playing around with Pineneedle bracelets and woodwork. 

And can I just say working with wood makes the arthritis in my hands just scream.  And I mean really scream, wake's me up in the night in pain.  I've never really had that happen before. So I think what I'm going to have to do his pace myself and only do wood on occasion, it really stinks but I have to listen to my old lady body I guess.

So yesterday I did two pieces of work with the wood, and one Pineneedle bracelet. Today it's Pineneedle work only. And I have found a comfort zone that I had forgotten can I just say ahhhhhhhh!

It's just the little one done with my usual Juniper but it just flows so nice and easy.  I'm enjoying the process of it, nothing really challenging me, just being successful from start to finish.

Beautiful feeling if I do say so myself it makes me feel whole.  :-}

One tiny little customer bracelet done in black and silver.

And one handcarved Juniper spatula.

This is my first time carving anything where are used absolutely no power tools. No Dremel. no electric sander. 

I used my knife as a scraper for the finish and of course then I oiled it with mineral oil. 

I was specifically going for a rustic look I don't want it to look store-bought I want it to look handcrafted and this one just really went well.

And now you get to see it after it has been soaked mineral oil.

This one shows how I left a little not at the bottom of the handle. I think it turned out nice.

I still have to do one more bracelet and one more spatula before I can get on to doing just whatever I feel like doing wish me luck TTYL!

Here is my newest Pineneedle bracelet. 

This is number three of the five that I have to do for a client. They will be Christmas gifts.  Usually I know why making these things for, in this case I do not. Makes it a little harder to try and think of something a little different for each one that each lady may like.

I like the infinity symbol in this one and blue and brown is a very popular combination let me know what you think…

This is my absolute first completed charcoal drawing.  Usually I get frustrated and they end up in the garbage. This time I just kept going.

I saw an acrylic painting tutorial on YouTube with this Gerber Daisy and so I thought I'd give it a shot with charcoal.

I'm about halfway through in this picture.

Then I darkened it up a bit and tried to do the center of the flower…

The center of the flower got a little muddy looking, and it took me a while to figure out how to make it look right.  I couldn't seem to get the strokes so I did random strokes/dots, kind a like stippling.

I'm calling it done.  

There are some things I wish I had done differently, but I think it looks enough like a flower.  And the mess was kept at a minimum from the charcoal!!! I learned a lot and that was the main goal.

i'm also working on a basket for my friends baby shower, this one is pink and brown.

Busy, busy, busy, art doesn't make itself !!!  So I got to go!  Talk to you soon.

A tiny basket with the matching key Fob.  And the key fob would be brilliant for hanging necklaces on or for that matter any other kind of jewelry!

Or a tiny little matching basket.
